AdBradley, I just spoke to Jerry at DIY. He says the setup will work with my car, and I can also use the MS to control boost. I am in for sure. #5.

so...final price = ?

I'm going to need....MS...IAT...Serial Cable...and to figure out how to wire it to the stock ECU...b/c this is what confuses me.

I am just in for the discounts, so I will order all the extras (IAT, cables, etc.) later. I just want the MS and the board mods.

I've already added the rest of the prices up, I just wanted to know the price of the board, and if that was the only thing we got GB prices on.

paul, you can get the ms1 pcb V.3 fully built modded to work with your miata (idle valve mod, ignition mod) for $367 normally it would be about 30 dollars more. You will still have to get some various other items.. but this is a good discount on the main unit.

the msI v3.0 costs 330 assembled from their site directly

how much wopuld this be:
msI v3.0 unassembled
open intake temp sensor
closed coolant temp sensor
lead bending tool
12' wireing harness

I'll just order the MS assembled and modded and then take car of the other stuff in a month or two...gives me plenty of time on how to understand/work with MS.

Has someone verified this? It looks like we have to buy a harness already built or build one ourselves?

I bought an assembled harness, back when the onlly option was 6'. I've got a huge coil of wire under my dash. I wish the 18" was available when i got it. Do that. You'll need a serial cable, unless you already have one. and a USB adapter unless you laptop has a serial port.

Actually 18" probably isn't long enough if you mount it in the glovebox like me. It would probably fit under the stock ECU shield though.

Al, can't you clip the 6' harness down to whatever size you need and just trim the shielding back again?

I'd like to be in on this group buy. I'm a little hesitant overall, however, because of so few installs on 99+. I have a 2000. I know I need to CAS from 94+ or something. Still reading on this. Anyway, can't send you a PM, adbradley, because I don't have ten posts. Can you send me a PM with an email and I can respond. Maybe I'll just ask a bunch a newbie questions so I can get my post count up (not my preference)! Can I use the same mod's as you guys or will I need a unmodded assembled board and do mod's specific for the 99+ install?

I'm betting you could just get the assembled (but unmodded one) at the group buy price. As for the mods, I do not know, so I can't answer that...sorry

For a MS I PCBv3.0 Kit 179

look the rest up on diyautotune.com


the 367 price is for a ms I v3.0 built unit with all the miata mods... (cas input, and idle control) if you build yourself you will need to do these mods and buy extra parts.. read the install article on diyautotune.com and read up on the megasquirt forum here before you decide to buy.
