Since when doesn't DIYautotune not include all the needed parts to mod the MS for a miata?

The prcice for an assembled unit on their site is 330 for the ms-I v3.0 and 189 for the unassembled. so there is no big diff on this group buy, so I think I'll just buy straight from diy without the groups buy. but thanks anyways

look the rest up on diyautotune.com

the 367 price is for a ms I v3.0 built unit with all the miata mods... (cas input, and idle control) if you build yourself you will need to do these mods and buy extra parts.. read the install article on diyautotune.com and read up on the megasquirt forum here before you decide to buy.

Yes they include the few resistors for the CAS mod free of charge. But when buying an assembled MS they do not include DOING the mods for you for free. The extra $37 is for them to complete the mods that way all you have to do is wire the MS into the car and start uploading your maps and tune from there.

i think you have to buy a small kit to get the idle control to work as well, but thats cool no problem go ahead and pay that extra 10 bucks

How much longer tell you guys plan on buying? I might be in for the unasembled board. I just need a little time to figure out what all I will need, and to get some money together.

Happy Birthday to me, I'm in for the built and modded MS!

Now I have to decide what else I need... according to the DIY web site, the closed element sensor works as an IAT for N/A cars. It will be at least a year before I go forced induction... need to figure out which to get.

just get the open element now... it's cheaper than buying the closed element only to have to replace it when you boost.

for now mine was just screwed into the stock plastic intake tube. there are two wires run from the sensor to the ECU (you want to share ground with the ECU). It's simple and straight forward. megamanual tell you how to use the open element, not the closed.

The open element IAT sensor works just as well on NA cars as on turbo cars. It's a bit less affected by heat soak, and responds faster. The main advantage of using the closed element sensor for an IAT on an NA car is that it's cheaper. It gives out the same signal as the open element IAT.

ok, after figuring everything up here is the bottom line

to use paypal to consolidate everyones money and pay DIYautotune, its going to cost 2.9%

Shipping for each person is going to be 15 bucks.

By only getting a 10$ discount on the unbuilt units from DIY, its actauly cheeper to pay full price and get it yourself.

As far as the fully built kit guys go, you will save some money.

it will end up being like 15 bucks max.

Myself, and Cjernagan are getting the kit, so this is no real value for us.

If you are getting the fully built unit, i will still do this group buy, but i will need 5 of you to do it. So that means i need 2 more people willing to buy.

Sorry guys, i guess i should have calculated this stuff before.

Adam, see if DIY will let us pay by CC directly to DIY with some sort of MT.net rewards code. No need to give Paypal a cut.
