I am hoping to have them in hand by end of week, I doubt I can get them to you by the end of the week. I do not mind taking as many to the gap as possible to save everyone couple more bucks. Sorry for delays, but I am working hard for this to go as smooth as possible.

Well, no solid update, there is one issue I can't seem to find a way around.
There is a very good chance that I can have the blankets in my hand this week, providing I sove this one issue. As soon as something bright comes out of this head of mine, I will notify everyone of the status on the blankets.

Well, I didn't want to invlove anyone else in this in order to not complicate things.

But I'll give you details as I feel you all deserve to know.

Part of the negotiations was that I had to cover my own shipping and can't pay via credit card to avoid them taking a hit of 3% on almost $4000.

The Shipping I was able to handle by contacting MiataManiac92 who is local to Austin TX, he was more than willing to step forward to assist us all. He will pick the package up and overnight to me, and I will pay him via paypal. The blankets will al be in one box to minimize shipping expense. So this part is well taken care of.
The Payment is what I am having issues with. They do not want to take my CC over the phone and won't give me a paypal. They want me to send them cash, which is out of the question for me. So I am trying to convice them to let me pay paypal from my bank account, but the guy doesn't really know his finances real well, still thinks that will charge him a fee.
I am not sending him a check or cash, no way!!!
I will call him now and see if he even has paypal, if not, I need to figure something else out.

 

Hope you can get thru all this. Its hot out there, so is my engine bay...

Well, wire transfers cost money and will not give me any guarantee, neither will a certified check. I am not blindly handing over almost $4000 to someone I don't know.
I'd hate to have to drive to TX and skin that ************ and go to jail because he tried to steal from me.
