so then a heat shield would still be best for the manifold itself since i've heard that wraps are errosive magnets...

95% of Miata manifolds can't really be wrapped since they are log manifolds. A heatshield or coating is a great option.

OK, update to pricing. $100 + Shipping.

I work at Alamo now, and the cost of the blankets has gone up. Instead of discontinuing the discount, and charging the full $150, we are gonna do them for $100/Ea plus shipping.
