i should hope mid 12's would happen at 270. 0-60 depends on the rear a 3.6 could get 4 or less with that much given how light we are and the headroom of the gears. a 4.3 would take carefull driving to breack less than 5 for sure 1st is to short in that case i would start in 2nd given your clutch can ahndle it.

Why has the car so bloody low gearing anyway ?
You get to what...120mph and you kiss the gears goodbye.

the 6spd has even lower gearing. The car has low gearing because the stock motor 100 hp would not move w/o it.

I was kidding but I have seen some local hillbillies do something similar using a civic wagon awd system. It didn't work very well. Duh.

I would more realistically look at a 220hp miata, 270hp is a huge step excluding the fact thats its a 50 hp hop. When your running 270 your definitely talking about danger to tranny/motor/clutch. So unless your willing to work on those components, I would shoot for 220.

0-60 = 4.952 seconds on my G-Tech Pro.

This was my infamous "test run" before the real thing (when I got a ticket for going 114 in a 55). You can look at this datalog to compare my 200 HP Miata with my mother's 1999 bad *** automatic Vette (the '99 was one of the fastest production cars of all time in case you didn't know).

FWIW, the 1/8 mile time on the G-Tech is pretty damn close to what I run on the track.

The jump from 220 to 270rwhp is huge. 220rwhp is a very nice T25 setup or a modest T3 setup; 270rwhp is a GT30 or a big GT28 series, standalone fuel management, and serious stress on the diff and tranny.
