place et mph guy year engine
17 12.901 112.000 Jared Bonaventura 1995 Stock
Ok, so, I know that my 2000 model miata is sort of a pig. And I put in that roll bar. I'll admit, it tips the scales at 2450 wet. Maybe it's that extra 200 lbs keeping my car in the 15.9 second 1/4 mile stock, while this guy ran within 0.14 seconds of MarkP.
Or, not. Seriously, who's dumb idea was this list?

Maybe with a stock bottom end, but that's a stretch. Stock displacement I could see. At least headwork and a lot of turboing. I mean, there's a 175 whp difference between a stock miata and one running in the 12's. My point about him being the next guy after mark wasn't random - if he really were that close, he'd have had to have done a similar amount of work.
The whole list was interesting, all the best times were off of miata motors, not LT-1's, etc.

12.9 is fast to me, like anyone else with any sense, but it's not THAT difficult to reach. FWIW, there was a guy at the track here in Fayetteville, NC that was running 13.1s in a MSM with limited mods. So, in theory a 1.8 FMII/BEGi S3 or similar homebrew setup would be right there.
I hoping that my '99 with S4 will be close.

"stock" is not anything (any miata) in the 12's. If it's turboed enough to take 3 seconds off your ET, it's turboed enough to mention.
And you guys and your fancy, 93 octane, supergas can all go *$&% yourselfs. I hope it snows on you/

Yo Bros! Aint no sweat doing a low 12 with my sick Miata here in da Fatherland, fo sure! Got a sweet JDM wing and lambo doors for JDM traction and I have like JDM tires on my 19” JDM 2lb wheels that are like assume light and double clutching fast and furious style like mad yo!
I got to get that damn turbo soon. My car is s-l-o-w on the straight.

I should be able to get to the track next month. need to get the BEGi downpipe, clutchnet clutch, and MBC in... then tune for 12 psi. Once all that is completed, off to the races and dyno I go.

but I sure would like to know.
