Default 1997 STO Miata, $20K

Sure that's really low miles but what the ---- is this guy smoking.

http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/2936190776.html

I have a 1997 Miata STO Limited Edition for sale. Car is one out of a limited 1500 ever produced. MINT condition with a mere 4,422 miles. Garage kept for the last 14 years(maintained of course)The car still smells like brand new and has original boot cover that has never been used. Here are just some of the features:

Leather seats
Power steering
15" Einki aluminum wheels
CD/Casette player
Headrest speakers
Power windows
Power assisted brakes
Power mirrors

This car is one of the nicest and rarest miatas you will ever see guaranteed. Completely stock and untouched. I am asking $20,000 firm as this miata has such few miles, is is such good condition and is a limited production number and one pf the most sought after miatas available. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. I can be contacted at 920 229 1381.

this popped up today on local craigslist.

I like LEs, IMO they are way more awesome than STO.

I love it when people think a Miata is so valuable. If it was a special production release NB Coupe, that's different. Otherwise a Miata isn't worth $hit, in my mind. Even a 99 10AE was a 7,500 production run, and who cares, people still buy them and mod the crap out of them.

If I ever sell my '97 I'll call the dents custom "body work" no other Miata has these panels. One off made by qypsies in Japan. JDM, happy face. The flat black is special SR71 paint I stole from a hanger during by military days.

Why do I hate the term "fully loaded"..same goes when people say "fully synthetic" or "full synthetic" when speaking of oil. Such terms are native tongue to sleezy car salespeople.

Well, to their credit, there are so many oil companies out there now touting

semisynthetic

that full synthetic is becoming more rare.

yep, there's a reason people say full-synthetic now.

20k? For an STO? Isn't the STO just a base with "M-style" creature comforts? The only way that the STO trim spec could be any worse is if it were equipped with A/T.

I get a kick out of this ad....found on mazda-speed.com

For sale is this beautiful 2001 BRG SE Mazda Miata with Hard top. Owned and operated by a 55+ year old driver. I wanted something unusual that was a sleeper of sorts and fun to drive. After looking for quite awhile I found this car with intensions of adding a few performance additions. Lots of research from Flyin’ Miata and AIM Tuning we built this car that you see now. All work performed professionally at AIM Tuning in Indianapolis. If you do not have a good command of performance driving this car may not be for you.
If you want something that will keep up with the 60K to 70K cars for allot less money this is the car. I do not have any current Dyno HP numbers but should currently be set at around 270 HP with more room for increase if desired. The beauty of this engine design (BEGI) is not only the speed and handling but has all added features to make this turbo run cool. No engine work was done other than bigger injectors , fuel pump and engine management system. Build information is available.
Why would I sell this car? I am well over 6 foot and was never comfortable behind the wheel so I just purchased a Boss 302. I have added over 30K in this car after purchasing. Why build when you can own this well maintained car? Always stored in heated garage and never driven in the winter.
E-mail me at syeager@indy.rr.com and I will send Pictures. Car is located in Indianapolis Indiana. Serious inquiries only. $22,500.00

With that logic, I should be able to sell my car for about $30k because of the higher quality parts I "invested" into my car...
