Default 2.3L Ford swap????? Is it possible?

I recently blew the 1.6 in my Miata and I have a 2.3 out of a Ford Focus just laying around and I was wondering if it’s do able to swap the motor and make an adapter plate for the 2.3 to bolt up to my trans. I know it’s probabky retarded question but I’m trying to do the best with what I got. Thanks

Looks like a bike engine, and from the COPs I would say Honda.

Yup - A Hayabusa engine..

I have no idea why someone decided to make that - lots of revs and no torque in quite a heavy car!

as to the OP, anything fits if you want it to, takes time / effort & money

referencing the volvo 16v head (on a Ford block?) theres some good powered Volvo slant / 2.3 based engines being used in rally & other competition around the UK, can bore & stroke to 3L and alloy blocks are available - 300hp na singlecams

Rich.
