THREAD RESSURECTION for Abu Dhabi
So... Last call... Who will it be? I'm watching qualifying right now. Clearly I was wrong about the older German in my OP but not the young German. Vettel could still do it. I am watching qualifying and so far he is on top.
You know, Alonso has some bad Karma that could catch up with him this weekend. Remeber Briatore-gate a few years ago? Alonso's team mate was ordered to crash, by Flavio, in order to get Alonso the win? Well here is the karma catch-up scenario. Get it? Catchup, ketchup, red, Ferrari red, blood?
Here is the karma bitch scenario. Closing laps of the race. Vettel is way out in front. Weber is in second, back by 15-20 seconds. Alonso is close behind in third. Weber has no hope of passing Vettel without team orders which Red Bull has stated repeatedly they will not do (unlike Ferrari). With Vettel in first, Weber in second, and Alonso in third, Alonso still wins the championship. Rather than order Vettel to let Weber by, Red Bull orders Weber to take out Alonso via code word radio transmission. Weber slows, allowing Alonso to get on his tail, and brake checks him coming into the hairpin at the end of the long straight. Alonso hits Weber and loses his nose wing, has to pit, and falls back to 6th place. Vettel wins the championship.
OK, as if...
So, who wins it tomorrow? Alonso is the favorite, but I do not think he has it in hand.

Or a nawz bottle. One of the big ones. Careful not to blow out the welds, Alonso, I have seen you drive. You have a heavy foot.
Shake and Bake baby!
On another note, I am lusting over that Yas Circuit and how smooth it is. I got to race at MSR-C and Barber RIGHT when they opened, when the tracks were still billiard smooth. It was fantastic.

short of taking him out, alonso has it locked. vettel doesn't really have a chance, only one with a real chance barring incident is weber, which i would like to see instead of alonso, and i hate vettel's little bitch *** whining. he's a good driver, but his immaturity is what's keeping him from being a great driver, and probably what's keeping him from the championship this year.
plus, he's not a team player. not that he has to be, but they asked him if he's in a position of not being able to win the driver's championship, but weber is, would he let weber by? he was flustered and refused to answer the question, what a bitch. he would rather win the race allowing alonso to win, than let his teamate win.

Here is another similar scenario, but with the roles reversed. Suppose Vettel is in the lead near the end of the race. Weber is in front of Alonso but not far enough ahead of Alonso to get the championship. He has an opportunity to hold up Alonso and give the championship to Vettel. Does he do it?
But at any rate yeah it is an interesting situation and if it comes down to that the outcome will be noteworthy either way.
Plus there is the whole situation with the engines. None of the contenders has a fresh one, though some are less fresh than others. Should be a good race. Think back to Brazil the year when Hamilton won the championship on the last corner of the last lap of the last race of the season, by 1 POINT, after the rain came down in the closing laps, and there was the huge decision to be made on whether or not to pit for rain tires with only a few laps left. That was a fantastic season finale. Poor Massa.

In terms of teams, I'd like Ferrari to win, although I'm not a huge fan of their driver, Alonso.
I'm a fan of the underdogs, and Red Bull, although a underdog in recent years, has not been one lately. They're just always out in front, with one or two reliability issues and a few driver mistakes being the only reasons they haven't locked out both championships.
So with Ferrari as my team, I do think Webber deserves the title. Although F1 driver's titles always make the winners into *** hats. Webber has always been a straight shooter, I hope he doesn't change.

All hail my Aryan brethren Sebastial Vettel...ZIEG HEIL!!! Maybe Alonso can go cry to Flavio and he'll rediscover heterosexuality, however this is doubtful and he'll continue to complain to Domenicali and they'll have him ride on the back of his team-mate...again.

Yep I think it is great Vettel won. Not only did he take the title from Alonso, but he also took Alonso's youngest driver to win the Championship record as well. Nice. Poor Alonso.
Schumacher was not nearly as fast as I thought he would be but he improved through the season. Still his team mate scored almost exactly twice as many points as Schumacher.
I know it is a conservative country and all, but Yas gets a FAIL on the grid girls. They were dressed like 1950's airline stewardesses. Might as well be wearing burkas.

Yeah, he was so close a couple of times. He was right on petrovs tail after the corner leading to the long straight, but the renault seemed faster as alonso could not slipstream and outbrake petrov at the end. Ferrari needs to get their **** together for next season, the RBR car was just too good.

From what the announcers were saying, the Renault's aerodynamics are matched only by the Red Bull car. Take that and add an F-duct and it was impossible for Alonso to get him on the straight. Red Bull wasn't on the top ten fastest list, STR Ferrari was though, along with Renault.
There wasn't even booze on the podium.
