Also, I think I have found the solution to both my transportation needs and the high cost of living here in NYC:
There does not appear to be any city ordinance which prohibits the placement of a camper body onto a bicycle or tricycle frame, nor from locking same to one of the many municipally-supplied bicycle racks and hitching posts distributed all throughout Manhattan.
What's more, I could probably fit enough solar panels onto the roof to charge a house battery for both domestic power and electric drive.

Had I been an exceptional athlete, above average academically, etc. I could of overcame the detriment, however I am below average athletically and just above average academically. I could of pursued it, but after discussing it with my commander, I would of most likely ended up in a 2nd choice field.

However, I didn't qualify to be a pilot because I failed the "depth perception" test the Navy makes you do. The test mimics the mall pictures you see where you have to make the image pop out of the blob of colors "A schooner is a sailboat you IDIOT!" So I ride in the back seat like Goose. Seriously... I had 20/10 vision when I joined the Navy and they wouldn't let me be a pilot because I couldn't see the schooner.
It's the same thing with physical fitness... if you need to kick more people out, just tighten down on the pushup requirement and the fatties all get administratively separated for "not being in standards".

Eyesight requirements for the military are just another form of "force-shaping"... ie, they can't let everybody in. I have 20/12(L) and 20/16(R) vision (which is several points worse than when I joined) and exceptional hearing that has not dropped off even after 15yrs of flying aircraft, including 2 years spent on the flight deck launching planes. I'm also very, very good looking and have zero history of any medical conditions in my family at all... NOTHING. Genetically, I'm a specimen.

In other news, the "LOCK" button on the remote fob to my new (to me) 2004 Mazda 3 doesn't work, and buying a new fob won't help because I can't get the car to go into Programming Mode to accept new remote fobs.
