^ Ouch.
Just some randomness, but I can't help thinking that if that were me, I'd be holding the phone in my non-perforated hand. (Or did that one get mangled in the bait chopper?)
Anyhoo, this:
Can't help but think that it needs a Tool song to go with.

Knowing him, he probably made a point of using that hand even more since there was something wrong with it.
From growing up on the coast, I can only ask how in the hell did he manage to do that??
My first guess is someone else casting and him being unfortunately in the crosshair when pulling back...

That's truly awesome. Especially at the end when it shoots off. That bird has some guts.

Amazon is weird.
Yesterday, at around 11:00 am, I ordered a belt. I assumed it'd be a few days before it arrived.
Yesterday evening, after a nine mile hike (the latter five miles of which consisted of me lugging eight bottles of reasonably-priced wine on my back) I arrived home. Rudy, the doorman, greeted me cordially and said that a package had arrived. Surprised, I accepted it and brought it upstairs. Inside, I found this:

It's precisely what I ordered. It's just that I neither requested nor paid for same-day delivery.
Interesting move, Amazon... What is your secret?
