how are you in the wrong, he failed to pull into the center lane... that's like the whole point of them. Now you could have let him go, but I probably would have done the exact same.

apparently pulling into center lane is illegal in MI. Still, you let him go and even stopped at the light. I don't see what the problem was -- had you actually run into him, I would have had the same reaction.

The only thing I saw that you did wrong is perhaps that you made a right turn into the left lane. When the guy in the escape initiated his turn into the center lane you were just in the middle of the process of your turn and it could appear to the escape driver that you needlessly got into the lane he was trying to merge into. This to me would seem like a dick move were I in his position. When he initiated his turn both the right and left lanes of the road he was merging into were clear enough to merge into safely. In the the middle of the turn, all of a sudden there is a car in the left lane. It's his job to merge safely but at the same time I can see his perspective. Either way, he should stay in his f'ing car.
And yes, not brake checked you. (Ninja edit)
