The AI-generated cat pictures thread
While I think selfie sticks are the ultimate expression of generation wuss, I also don't condone destroying other people's stuff. This guy needs to be beat down, hard.
Has anyone used 'Ant Gel' before?
We had carpenter ants in the house once, and the exterminator used similar stuff. They ingest the poison, but it does not kill them right away. The idea is to get them to go back to the nest and die. Since ants are cannibals, others will get poisoned from the dead ants and it will hopefully destroy the entire colony. In my case the stuff worked just as advertised.
We were warned that dogs and cats can smell it, and will try to eat the puddle that you leave out, so pet owners be warned.

I've used ant gel, with great and immediate effect, twice when ants were entering my home uninvited. Maxforce is the brand that I keep at home.
I squirt a little bit into the tiny gap at the bottom of my back door (where they enter) the gel is stolen within a day and no more ants (that's what you get for taking something that ain't yours!)
It's taken care of 2 different species of ants for me upon first use within minutes (they stop going for first food source and eagerly start collecting their new, closer, and more tasty food source), and about a year and a half or so between those two applications.

Anyone else used Demon WP for insect control? We've had weeks of rain here and the fire ant mounds are out of control. I've got some Ortho broadcast stuff but I need to kill off the existing mounds before I broadcast the preventative stuff. Demon WP seemed to be the best stuff out there.
I'm going to spray a lower-concentration around the perimeter of the house, but for the fire ant mounds I'm planning on mixing up a stronger concentration and pouring the liquid on each mound until it's soaked. Seems like other people have had good luck with this method. The liquid soaks deep enough to kill the queen so they don't just rebuild the mound/colony.
EDIT: Whoops, image thread. Here:

Great find Scott!
The flavor train left the station about 3 hours ago, about 3 more before it pulls in. Smoking up some Copa today, that's a pork shoulder with all of the hard to cook parts cut off. Ends up being a lot like a pork tenderloin.

In other news, I found a deer yesterday, but I think it's broken. Doesn't seem very lively...
