Istanbul has weird weather.

It was 50F one late night, then it started raining, followed by a bone chilling cold wind and snow.
Dipped down to 23F with a full on snow storm and 8" accumulation, all in the space of less than 36 hours.

Still snowing.
We are happily stranded at home.
(I stockpiled tea and cigarettes, so we can last quite a while)

Sign of the times...

This is as moderate as anything gets over here these days.
(Turkish social media is all but a soapbox for hate speech, for example)

Something interesting came out of my oil pan this afternoon:

It's non-ferrous. And I'm fairly certain it's not even metal. I think it's a rock.

The BP-Z3 block was made out of stone? Because that's what this is.

Unrelated: I love watching these very slow-paced videos of Germans making stuff, with no annoying music, no narration, no CG, no fancy editing, just... manufacturing.

Prediction:

Someone will connect a centrifugal air compressor to the output shaft, and claim on Youtube / GoFundMe to have invented an over-unity machine. They will only need a small amount of funding to develop it into a fully working commercial product and / or will find themselves persecuted and suppressed by large corporate interests.
