I don't remember the thing ever being illegal (can't remember where I got my copy) but I sure did love that album. I still regularly play it. It has been a while since I was into it but there were also a ton of sampling in the album that they got in trouble for. Luther got into some trouble a few years ago down here (an underage girl did some rather nasty stuff on stage at one of his concerts). IIRC, insurance companies won't insure his concerts any longer so I don't think he jams now. They were a huge act at one time and can't make money now. Sad...
