Amazon is the worst for that. A few years ago I purchased one of the larger two seat powerwheels from Amazon, free returns. Soon after it went on a silly sale for black friday. They required that I ship the very large, very heavy item back to them, minus the battery (??!?), so extra bonus for me.
I bought a $1500 camera lens (Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS) from Amazon once that went on sale the next day for like $300 off. Called up customer service and they refunded the difference. This was like 10 years ago, though.
