Anyway, this is what my neighborhood looked like this morning:
And this is the rubber which is still on the car as of this morning:
And so, consequently, this was the driver this morning:
Wasn't bad. They're hard as hell, but nothing's accumulating yet. The snow tires will definitely be going on this weekend. Maybe even tonight if I have time.

Now I've got an idea in my head for a photo-mash that takes the "I'm sorry, Jon" meme in what, if I may say, I feel is a much darker and sinister direction. May work on that over the weekend.

Judging by the radar it looks as though you're going to be more screwed on the way home.
Don't feel bad though I'm still on s-drives.

maybe. I haven't really followed the politics of it closely. it would make sense if they banned in-home-fireplace wood burning, they'd restrict other forms.
Have they done that? I'll admit I pay some attention to fed/state politics, but I try to focus mainly on stuff in my metro area as it's the stuff that has the most direct impact on my life.
California Air Resources Board and all of the Sierra Club types blocked burning as often as it was presented until very recently according to what I've read, but not my problem.

^ Truth.
More Sierra Club than CARB. The latter tend to stick to industry and highway. Sierra, and also Greenpeace and similar, poke their tentacles into every possible domain. I say this as an 8 year So-Cal resident who was approached by many petition-seekers, and tried to engage each one of them on the question of why they opposed nuclear power, when the alternatives were vastly more harmful.
Anyway, a random picture:

I am increasingly of the opinion that whoever did the original wiring in this apartment acted with malice aforethought.
