I think you're underestimating the amount of people who will pay more for a "Kit". Sell a bearing and a drill bit for 5 easy payments of $9.99. Someone would but it.
Also, that's a great idea, definitely stealing that one because my clutch is in need. Maybe I can find a kit somewheres...
You are not stealing, we are sharing it.
This is exactly why I post my problems / solutions / experiences here.
Thank you.
I really don't think anybody would need to buy a kit.. All you need to do is drill the thing, smooth the diameter a bit and press a bearing in there...
You have been on (at least) this forum long enough to see the laziness of the general public. If they can buy a solution they will, even if it means more money. I do this occasionally myself but that is due to my being gone from home half of the year at a minimum, so my time is at a premium. Still, there are few people nowadays that want to exert themselves any more than they have to.
Thanks! It took me a few seconds to figure it out. That movie was one of my high school friends top ten movies along with Conan the Barbarian. He owned multiple swords and I almost feel like searching for his contact info and using this picture to get back in touch after 15 years.

STILL my favourite movie of all time (I'm still trying to forget that Highlander II and III ever existed though).

It's still one of my favorites. The Director's Cut is the version that was released in the UK. It has additional story lines about his secretary at the antique dealership.
I bought a HiFi RCA VHS player because of that movie. Probably cost me $350+ when I was still a First Lieutenant.
Hadn't planned on it, but now that you mention it, it would fit into my drill press at work.
It's a hammer-drill bit for concrete / masonry. I intend to poke a hole in the exterior brick wall of my apartment building.
Not SDS shank? You plan on using a normal drill with it's cute little "hammer" function?
So they're tearing down, or finishing up tearing down the old Joe Louis Arena here in Detroit.
Looks like they plan on lowering the main center span slowly. Perhaps hydraulics or something. Seems pretty interesting.

Correct.
Specifically, this inexpensive light-duty hammer drill from Harbor Freight:
If you're gonna do a job, why not do it the hard way? SDS is for people who care about quality and / or safety.
The rest of the story (electronic bits excluded):
I am using only the cheapest, lowest quality materials available, along with electromechanical parts which are woefully under-rated for the job. After all, this is a rental apartment, not my own home.
