What was wrong with it, and if nothing was wrong... HOW DO YOU PEOPLE GET THESE? They're selling for 3k average on Craigs here in Charlotte, NC, and thats with at least 100k miles.
Is 100k miles on a MIATA bad? (assuming car was kept in average - not flawless - condition)?

You have to see these on craiglist within an hour of them being put up, or else you lose. I used to check craigslist like 6 times/day. This is how I ended up with a very nice black 99 with a pretty kickass set of konigs and a hardtop for $3500
I missed a 97 M edition one day, it had like 60k miles, factory green hard top, spectacular condition from the pictures, guy had it listed as a "millenium edition". I had check CL like 30 minutes prior and so it couldn't have been on there that long. Another guy beat me to it. Price was $3500, I was LIVID.
Cheapest Miata's I've seen are around 800, though they're usually crap. The cheapest that I've scored was a 93 C-package with 120k on the clock. The guy was driving it and "it just stopped driving about a block away from home, engine was still running, not making any funny noises, etc, but couldn't get it into any gears." I instantly knew the driveshaft had failed, and when I looked under the car, low and behold, the front yoke was laying on the ground under the car. That was $1250, and after I looked at it, I learned the guy bought the car brand new with a hardtop, which I scored for another $450. It had been sitting in his basement since he bought the car and was absolutely flawless.
A $70 used driveshaft later, and it runs like a champ!

Are you talking about Pablo Francisco? I think he's funny, and the way he meshes in his great sound effect skills with his comedy makes it epic.

Great idea tho, i'm gonna start checking Craigs meticulously, maybe I'll find a cheap Miata, thank you for the tip fooger03!
...I wanted to post a thankyou smiley but apparently Miata Turbo.net has a shortage of those, lol.
This will do,
That reminds me of when I saw a slammed, almost hellaflush (tasteful THO!) all black Miata that practically looked like a Porsche at some angles. It was selling for like 4-5k and was perfect, but I thought something was horridly wrong with it bc of price. Can't find that listing anymore. .. lol

I'd guess well over $10k. I'd imagine that one is large enough to fly over residential areas and have some people actually think it was a full size fighter plane flying over. Probably get 911 calls about fighter jets flying at low altitude over houses.
