Duck faces talent.
I was in Rotterdam for a couple of days. Drove about 3000 Km across Europe all the way from Istanbul and flew back to drive another couple thousand Km across southern Turkey, this time to join the forest fire relief effort.

A few things occur to me upon reflection here.
One is that I'm insanely jealous of the fact that a restaurant which seems to serve nothing but gourmet duck burgers exists.
Another is that while my own experience in The Netherlands is that many (most?) of the people I encountered there were fluent in English, and quite happy to converse in English, I am somewhat puzzled by the fact that the menus and branding appear to be entirely in English.
In the UK or the US, for instance, it would be uncommon to find a casual restaurant in which the predominant signage was in any other language than English, especially if the cuisine served there was not very strongly tied to a culture and language which gives this a meaningful context.
So, one might find a very high-end French restaurant in which the signage is all in French, however this would never be the case in any restaurant which serves pub-type cuisine.
It occurs to me that Godless Commie and Clark Kent have never been seen at the same time in the same place.

There's a HUGE part of the audience here that you are currently interacting with that has had a smart phone during most of their approaching-adult developmental years that don't have these problems. Just like the internet, smart phones are a tool and nothing more. What you choose to do with them is up to the individual.
There's my preachy response to a preachy statement for the week. Have a stupid meme.
