I would always be worried about something being under there and not being able to get out. Not rational I know, but still.

I'd swap that into an NA.

I'd trade in my 5spd Sport for one.

There's no way they'd put the 2.2L they're parading around in a 2 now. For that matter, there's no way they'd put a real Mazda motor in one, IMO. I guess it's possible they'd scale down the 2.2L, but it's a lot more likely that you'll get mediocre Ford motors, and you'll like it.

How do you like the 2 so far? I'm positive that it's just star gazing thinking that we will ever get a diesel 2 in the states.

It is, but I love the car with the gas engine anyhow...loves to be revved.

Plus parts just started arriving yesterday. First little mods are K&N air filter and Eibach springs. I want to get further into it, but hesitate with a car under warranty.

ahh...damn you cursing us sport hatch lovers (yes, the 2 is a "sports" car...just drive it).

I thought the current 1.5L was basically and old protege motor with a nifty new head and I/E on it.

MREs are great. Once you know how to cook them up.
