I've made that sort of top before (have an industrial sewing machine). I was actually thinking about making one of those about three weeks ago but didn't know anyone was producing them. I bet I can make a decent one for a lot less than that.
Just happened to find a top frame in my garage that's in really poor condition that came from a hurricane car which I could easily salvage the front part from.. I think the amount of air this could flow would be far greater than unzipping a back window, which my new top won't let me do. |

I know it looks like crap but project cost me around $50 and I got a nice back window that I glued into my original 20 year old soft top. Oh yeah it does its job well.
