My computer says 12/11/13. Yeah, we do everything backwards.

 

I've never understood that, do you tell the time minutes, then hours, then seconds?

 

It makes perfect sense, just as much sense as the imperial system.





but really it does. Because we speak the date like: December eleventh, two-thousand thirteen.

So we write it 12/11/13.

We don't speak in fancy english and say: The eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord Two-thousand thirteen.

You are all doing the date wrong. I'm disappointed by the lack of nerdiness.

 

I do engineering drawings. To avoid confusion, I use the military date designation because we have divisions in the US and all over the world. Todays date would be 12DEC2013. No possibility of mixing it up unless you can't read.

 

If I had my way, everyone would write 13/12/11. You guys better hope I never get my way.



It is a silly pain in the *** though. Sometimes I write 11 DEC 2013 just so there's no ambiguity. Seriously.

Why do you say it's fake? My old roommate is a helicopter pilot and he's shown me videos of some of the crazy **** they do. Those people are not sane.
