20 posts before WTB?
Hey there,
Just getting into a turbo for my 90 miata - and looking for some parts.
I understand the 20 minimum posts to sell something, but I'm not sure I understand the same posts requirement to post a WTB. Isn't it in the best interest of the forum members to see who wants to buy something that they may be trying to sell....regardless of how many posts that buyer may have?
I know that I'll be more active once I get going....but along the way, there are a bunch of items/pieces to this greddy puzzle that I will need. Seems a shame I can't post them for forum members......
Just my Canadian $.02.....

If you spend the time on here to post 20 posts then you will gain enough knowledge to buy the correct items the first time around. Too many people that are new to turboing a miata buy the wrong components early into the game thus removing an item that was for sale from the market that they end up never using. So if you go ahead, read the FAQs post in the greddy forum. Maybe make a thread in the greddy forum asking or talking about the components you want to buy you will hopefully have the know how to purchase the right stuff the first time around so that you don't have to come back and ask what you need to correct the problem that could have been prevented by asking the questions needed to buy the right thing the first time.
I'm really not serious and those run-ons are made jokingly, but no matter how much you bitch about the 20 posts rule, it will not change even if you're god of turbo miatas. So post some good questions or knowledge and get your WTB ad up already.
Word of the wise, don't post single posts of "Oh wow" or "Cool" cause they'll ban your ***.
Oh yeah, welcome to the board, post some pictures of your car in the VBgarage/Signature along with the year an all that crap so people know what advice to give if it is ever needed.

Good points....thanks.
I'm not trying to get the "rules" changed by any stretch of the imagination. Especially after only being on this board for 4 posts.
I joined in July 06....and have done a lot of reading - there is a ton of good info here - the archives, the threads themselves, etc. A fountain of information.
I'm an active member at Miataphiles in Toronto (yes, Canada!). I've had a JRSC on a 99 before...but didn't know much about it. Although I'm having someone do the turbo install as well, I'm interested in learning as much as I can this time around - I intend to keep this miata for a while.
Tough to be able to contribute a lot at this point - I feel like I'm the most ignorant person on this board b/c of my 0.01 knowledge of turbo's, setups, etc. I'm hoping to contribute more as the process gets started.
Car is in storage - will be pulling it out next week to do some minor mods until my "guy" is ready to bolt on the Greddy. Pics and details to follow.
Thanks for the words of wisdom.
Mav.
PS - I hate those "cool" thread replies just to get post #'s up!!!
