They only sucked because of the rest of the drivetrain behind them.

The northstar could have been so much more had it been developed properly.

Though it's pretty hard to compete with the LS engines.

60* v6 (i've had one before in pushrod form, i liked it) with a dual overhead cam and positive manifold pressure would be a sports car dream.

Volvo. Supercharger with turbo. Best of both worlds. Plenty of down low torque that makes enough HP up top to wet panties while obtaining many MPG's.
The future is moving faster than we can dare to dream about, even in an OEM application.
