Kind of. It lets gmail and facebook messenger through every once and a while.

Yes.

I got the note2.

it's big

but not so big that my man-hands can't grasp it. I strain to reach the notification bar one handed though.

Fits comfortably in a pocket?

Bought a Nexus 4. My sprint contract is up in a week, estimated delivery is 4-5 weeks. Close enough.

yeah though I haven't ruled out becoming fed up with it within the return window (not that I am yet, I'm just leaving that option open).

It IS thin.. .31 inches or something. Thinner than my OG Droid Incredible without its case. So in that sense, it's less pocket bulk.

It's a little challenging to work with one handed because it's a little slippery but I can deal.

Why dont youtube videos posted on this site work on my new phone?

Leafy 12-06-2012 11:05 AM

Can your phone play other youtube videos?

thenuge26 12-06-2012 11:54 AM

4.2 and on don't include flash. This makes me sad in the pants because the flash version of the desktop site is somehow better than the awful YouTube app. They need to fix that shit.

I'm bumping this thread because fuck you, that's why, plus I moved from a Samsung Galaxy S4 to a Nexus5. I always though the S4 was a pretty decent phone as far as Android was concerned, but the Nexus5 running naked Android 4.4.4 is goddamn amazeballs. In a word, Its snappy. Its just more responsive in everything it does. It does not have a bunch of stupid addon mystery "value added" programs foisted on the device by the service provider or hadware manufacturer. Its just exactly everything I need. I have this feeling that I'm not ever going to be happy with anything else ever again, unless its also naked android.

I will say that battery life was better on the S4, but its a minor complaint. Inductive chargers are also win and a half.

What are you people running now? I'd love to hear your opinions of what you were using compared to what you have now.

Leafy 10-30-2014 12:09 PM

I think the S4 is winning in battery life because of the AMOLED screen vs I believe IPS in the nexus.

dieselmiata 10-30-2014 12:34 PM

I'm using a rooted S5, and have no complaints. It's fast, plenty of storage, and it has great battery life. I haven't crashed it yet which is a good sign.

I just broke my old faithful N4 from my lap in the miata to the ground

Previously using a N1. Waiting on N6 now. Got a buddy that works for a pretty sweet company overnight me a temporary replacement. They have to maintain a massive list of devices, all registered and tested to be compliant with other stuff. Guess they won't miss a HTC one for a few weeks :giggle:

No other way to android, nexus devices only :dealwithit:

meh with how close the hardware specs are on this stuff, just pick a popular phone with an unlocked or easy to unlock boot loader, something with an AMOLED screen, and a good reliability rep and you can go wrong. I'm nearing the end of my 2 year contract with my S3 and I'll be switching to straight talk with an ATT sim once its up. I'll probably keep this phone until rom development dries up for it and then be waiting for the next latest and greatest to come out.

concealer404 10-30-2014 12:46 PM

Still on a GS3 that refuses to die, but i wish it would.

Will be upgrading to a OnePlus One when i get around to it.
