Every time I complain about it to other iphone users the excuse is "Oh yoou just need the 4S model not the 4 you have." Played with the 4S, nothing a good android phone can't do, minus Siri and she's annoying to. I loved my Nexus S, wife is using it now. Waiting for the next wave of greatness in the android market to replace this iphone with something that works and does what I tell it.

I may trade in my iphone for the Galaxy Nexus. So there are battery issues with the JellyBean os? I'm sure the iphone has its qualities. But I'm use to android. I'm not a computer guy at all, but there are things I wish could happen or I could change with the iphone. Things like third party alarms don't work well when you don't have the alarm running. If I forget to open the program before I go to bed sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Things like I have to sync it to Itunes at home to change to different ringtones, deleting pictures easily. I'm sure there is someone that knows the tricks. But for what it is, it's annoying. If you do get an Iphone grab a LifeProof case. Said it before, the case is better than the phone.

Love the nexus. I did not notice battery issue with JB when I used it. Its a solid phone and in stock form avoids a lot of BS apps and such like HTC puts on theirs.

I truly hate when you get something and it's preloaded with useless BS. The only thing I don't like about my Thrive is the stupid crap that is loaded from the factory, which I can't delete, and if I wanted to I'd have to root it to delete it. Not that good with computers and want my warrantee. Hopefully when ICS gets released for it it will solve my headaches.

maybe check out AOKP. I didnt see support for the S3 yet. They unlocked it and CWM can be installed. No S-off yet though. I got a Sensation 4G. S-Off, unlocked bootloader, Rooted with the latest radio and adreno drivers running a custom kernel and a custom rom. This is the way the phone should have been from the factory. Before it was just slow and bloated. Next phone? HTC One X hands down. I prefer Sense over Touchwiz and its easy to unlock. However, if I could get Sense on a SG3 then I would go for that instead, the hardware is undeniably superior even if by a small margin. My only beef with both phones is the bulk. They are massive. Which is why I may go for the HTC One S or nothing at all(since its so close to the Sensation in specs) until the next generation. |

the only apps I use are Shopify, Netflix and Pandora. AM I MISSING oUT????? buying an android is like buying an average, pre-built, kit car. It might not have the best performing engine in the world, it might be on steelies with crappy tires, and the rear brakes might not work when you first buy it, BUT, everything on the car has universally standard connections, and is attached with 3 easy-to-access bolts, the manufacturer provides all of the SSTs for you for free when you buy the car, and there are 100 different options for every conceivable replaceable part, and most of the best replaceable parts (the entire drivetrain for example) are available to you free of charge. |

There isn't anything you cant do on a blackberry or any other phone with a smaller screen, but a bigger screen makes it easier imho. This is one of the reasons why I don't understand the point of huge screen phones, certainly more than 4 inches or even 3. If I could get an android with a 3 inch screen and decent hardware like an Iphone id get that, but I can't and I don't like the apple os. |
I had a Blackberry Curve up until now and I'm glad I can watch porn on my phone without having to squint.
I have all of the apps you mentioned with the addition of Paypal. |

So far it runs. I'm restoring apps and gonna see how that turns out. |
Meh. I love ICS. Very simple for what I need to do.

rooting isn't that bad and reverting back to stock isn't hard either. Plenty of detailed (and easy to understand) step by step guides out there. I accidentally deleted EVERYTHING from my phone the other day (no OS, nothing), and reverting it back to stock was very easy.

HTC Sensation 4G here. Rooted w/ HyperNonSense version of ICS and stock kernel. ROM came with "Apex" launcher that seems to have 15 bug updates per month and suggest downloading yet another version every time one comes out. Probably will switch back to Go launcher.
