Default Any DC guys have a long open trailer?

I need a 15 footer to go and pick up a lift in DE. Uhaul doesn't rent one the right size. If you got one, I'll rent it. Hit me up if you know a rental place in MD that has one or if you know someone who wants to make a few bucks.

Why not a 26 foot Ryder truck with the power lift gate? The lift gate can come in handy with the weight of the lift.

You will want an open trailer. They will be able to load the lift on the trailer with a fork lift. Preferably one with ramps if you are man handling the install.

A few tips...
PVC pipe is your friend. Use it to roll the legs into place.
You will need 4-6 people to stand up the legs and hold them in place while you set the top.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I installed mine about 3 years ago.

I have one if you want to pick it up in Hagarstown.

Mark,
I'll hit you up Monday if my neighbor doesn't come through for me. How big is it? I've only got a Chevy S10 V6 so I don't want to tow a 25 foot trailer. Lift weighs 1600 lbs so towing it shouldn't be a problem.

I think it's 18 feet (It's at least 16, and at most 18). It's easy to tow. I used to tow it with my Jeep Cherokee with a 4.0 6 cylinder and it would pull the trailer and a car with ease. I have had everything from a lawn tractor to a dodge dually on it. The dually barely fit. It will be an easy tow for your S10. It needs a 2" ball.

Sounds good Mark. I'll probably get it. Lemme just check with the neighbor. Do you commute from Hagarstown to DC every day? The only issue is Hagarstown is the opposite direction I need to go (from Baltimore to Neward DE) so I'd probably pick up the trailer on a Friday the go pick the lift up Sat and return it that day or Sunday, depending on your schedule.

Nah, it's at my parent's place. I live in DC. They'll be fine with whenever you pick it up since you won't have to talk to them, I will just let them know when you plan to pick it up so you don't get shot.
