any sense in cryo treating my ring and pinion?
hehe, eliminator77 told me in a pm he dosn't abuse the car, and that's why his drivetrain holds up. He's making serious power, but he dosn't launch on 10.5" slicks, and drives it so he does not abuse the drivetrain.
I will get it cryo'd, and take it easy until I know I can afford a replacement.
his youtube videos show him drag racing vipers n junk. Maybe he doesn't launch hard from a stop with slicks, but he certainly hammers it from a dig.
He also has the luxury of an Aussie cro-mo gear set in the tranny. So he probably (realistically) has to worry about busting stuff like axle shafts.

I've spoken to a few locals about this ad some people swear by it, some think it doesn't work...but I know of 3 people who no longer break gears after repeated abuse (turbo v8 drag racing). I'm thinking about getting my spare trans (which needs a 4th-gear synchro) cryo treated...I just need someone to assemble the trans for me.
