As the title states. Found one for a good price but I know little about them. I'll be using it with a EMU for autotuning mostly.

which model? I have the 2A0 and it's great. I dont use it currently since I have a hydra, but I used it with my Tec3. The outputs are very configurable for the money. Plus you get a choice of sensors depending on which kit you get.

I have a very old one, but no complaints. Got it cheap and it's been working great.

I need a Wideband to auto tune my EMU and I am looking for something cheap. Does a $100 wih a fully assmebled one sound reasonable.

Check which sensors it is capable of using, and make sure they're reasonably priced. If so, $100 is about fair.

While not unreasonable, I'd probably just go straight to a new LC1. IIRC it's $189 for a new LC1 from diyautotune.com, with a brand new sensor, warranty, and tech support. My .02

I also have the WBO2 2A0. I have been running it for few years now - works flawless.

I've found a few LC1's for 150-160 new...I'm thinking you may have a good point.

14point7.com also has DIY wideband kits for cheap. They may not have as many features as the tech edge but at $40 for a controller kit it's not bad. A couple of the guys on the forum have them.

I still prefer the idea if going really cheap to get a LC1 with LCD panel meter. AEM widebands are like $225 on ebay as well, that includes the gauge considering the gauge is the controller.

I have a 2A0 TechEdge DIY kit that still doesn't work. Great conversation piece, zero support from the yahoo groups on troubleshooting.

I bought not the kit but the built unit.

But about the DIY kit, don't they have some very detailed build and debug procedure on their web site? Including describing procedures with telnet to the unit, passing commands and checking the resultant levels ...?

Any time I've sent them questions in the email they've always answered within a day. Every time I ordered something from them I received it in a week - so Australia was comparable to 5 day ground shipping in USA

I have a 2A1 (same as 2A0, but with more memory for internal logging). I bought the built version as my soldering skills are lacking. Had one small problem with it, which was fixed under warrenty. The main reason I bought it was because it is made here in Aust so I get local support. It took less than a week from the time I returned it to the time it was back in the car.
