I dont see what is so hard about it.
Most of my torrenting is done with my "Media PC", which is basically my old gaming rig that sits in my bedroom, hooked to my TV, and controlled via a bluetooth keyboard. Tixati stays opened all the time due to frequent torrenting. All the good stuff that is worth keeping gets put onto the local file server so I can access it later from any of the computers.
I used to use Demonoid excursively before the take down. I understand it has been back up but I havent used it. Since then Ive mostly used Kickass Torrents.
Admittedly, Top Gear has always been a bit troublesome for me. Ive never had trouble finding old stuff, but finding episodes of a currently airing seasons has been nearly impossible.

Private Trackers.
Never found a show I'm interested in that doesn't pop up 5-10 minutes after air.
Now I use Kodi(XBMC) + Genesis for convenience though.

I had something like 1TB downloaded and 2TB seeded on Demonoid back then, so Im familiar, but I dont know what to use anymore. A quick google isnt returning much for Kodi(XBMC) or Genesis, so Im assuming those are not the names of private trackers you are/were using.

Now they don't. And neither does any other legitimate source. I literally have no choice in the matter.
The irony is even more palpable when you consider that I am employed by a TV station.
I used to have an account (and truly epic ratio) on TheBox back when they existed.
These days, I use a combination of TPB, EZTV, and KAT.

Please, point me in the direction of the legitimate source of full Top Gear episodes. Even the netflix episodes have different (less good) music than the originals, to the best of my knowledge.

Link to The Oatmeal website with full comic: I tried to watch Game of Thrones and this is what happened - The Oatmeal
Carry on sirs. For me, I watch(ed) Top Gear by using the Hola Chrome plugin and pretending I'm in the UK. Lulz.

Am I the only one who just finds the shady as **** streaming sites?
They usually have the entire library of a show, and I only have to rotate which ones I use every couple months. I look in the DMCA takedown reports for the real good sites, then chase down the new url in search results on forums and such.
They all share the same watermark from the site I used like two years ago, loose one, make another. The ad/script blockers I run mean no prono ads or other weird things, no ads period.
I haven't torrented a show in years, either find it cropped funny and sped up/slowed down on youtube, then go to the streaming sites, then torrent if all is lost.

Excited for the new show.
I mainly torrent F1 from Sky, since that is not available any other way in the US. But I don't have to do that currently, as I have Sky Sports here in New Zealand.
