Default ATTN: Cheapskate Veterans

I've been meaning to catologue all of the military discounts that I am aware of for quite some time. If you know of others post the establishment, discount amount and caveats (ie. active duty, service connected, etc.), and I will update this first post. Once this post is updated, update yours with pictures of veterany things (guns, boobies, booze, etc).

Auto Parts:

1.) MKTurbo: 10% off setups to any active duty.
2.) OG Racing: Johnny will quiz you, so you better be legit.
3.) DIYAutoTune: 5%, .mil email or military ID required
4.) Advanced Auto: 10%, Any Veteran. Often they do not even ask for ID.
5.) O'Rielly's Auto Parts: Discounts on any regularly priced in stock item. Generally 10% but item dependent.
6.) Autozone: 10% on in stock items

Home Improvement:

1.) Home Depot Racing: 10%, Active duty or service connected.*
2.) Lowes: 10%, Active duty or service connected.*
3.) Sears: Heroes from home gift card. Must be active duty and register annually. Gift card amount is determined by number of entrants and money raised.

Shooting Stuff:

1.) Leupold: Call for discount
2.) Vortex: Call for Discount
3.) Geissele: Request Military Service Discount
4.) Midwest Industries: http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/...lay&page_id=27
5.) ALG Defense: http://algdefense.com/request-milita...vice-discount/
6.) Rainer Arms: LEO / MIL Discounts | Rainier Arms
7.) Primary Arms: https://www.primaryarms.com/Articles.asp?ID=261
8.) Joe Bob Outfitters: Military And Law Enforcement Receive Gun Parts With 5% Discount
9.) NRA: http://www.nralifeofduty.tv/membersh...ership-feature
10.) Battle Arms Development: Contact | Battle Arms Development
11.) Oakley Sunglasses Standard Issue: Military, LE, and other public safety personnel https://www.oakleysi.com
12.) Precision Reflex Inc: Precision Reflex - Page Not Found
13.) CMMG: http://www.cmmginc.com/articles.asp?ID=269
14.) Remington has a great mil buy program...email Ed.Ryan@remington.com FROM YOUR .MIL EMAIL ACCOUNT ONLY! It's usually about 25% off Buds prices from memory.
15.) Trijicon: Email bluestar@trijicon.com from .mil email address or include clear copy of DD 214 or DOD ID Card (No SSN or DOB) from personal email address.
16.) Smith and Wesson: Nation's Finest - Smith & Wesson
17.) DSG... great place to buy from. https://dsgarms.com/aboutus

Miscellaneous:

1.) Batteries Plus: May depend on local. Up to 20% in Fort Wayne.
2.) Mazda: $500 cash back rebate on any new Mazda for active duty

*If not active duty, your VA ID must say service connected under your photo. If you receive compensation, and your ID does not have this, go get it updated. They are now used for automated check-in at most VAs as well.

Not car related, but Promotive.com is a site that pulls together a lot of the military discounts on outdoor gear and sporting goods. Also, Vortex and Leupold offer pretty good military discounts.

Not car related is fine. Do you have to be active for the vortex and Leupold discounts?

I'm not sure. You need to call both companies to get the discount. They don't advertise it well but are very helpful once you talk to the right person. Leupold will send you a price list, Vortex does a straight xx% off MSRP.

We have a military discount. i'm a Iraq vet, so you will get asked a ton of random questions to verify legitimacy.

FWIW, Mazda offers a $500 cash back rebate on any new Mazda for active duty (or separated within the last 6 months) servicemen. Most other manufacturers of course offer something similar, but not all.

Me: "Hey Johnny, I'm a vet. Can I get a sweet discount?"
Johnny: "Who would you rather bang, Shakira or Jennifer Lopez?"

Yes. New versions came out this year, at least around here. I would assume it's universal.
