I'd rock it.... and yes, the fastback was clearly fitted better on this one. Someone needs to ditch the ugly stock turn signal lenses and get some TSi's.

I liked it until I saw the back. I think it would look better if it had the shorty rear bumper and was all the same color. Definately better looking than the mr2 hacked fastbacks.

I think its only fair to compare this to what the product he actually sells customers looks like:

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the even better one. The body lines are terrible.

If you look at the clubroadster thread about this he says he shaved the sides so they didn't bulge out like the production model and then bolted it to the hardtop and layed fiberglass over the bolts. He claims it's up to the end user to make it look like this...

Shorty bumper FTW. What's the DIY procedure?

I'd love to see the average Joe Miata (bad reference) laying fiberglass and shaving down the top. Bolts aside, I would think it would just be easier to have shaved it BEFORE it went into the mold Again, just my thoughts on it.

I still don't understand why he didn't make the whole thing instead of making an addition to the OEM top. It would have had an overall better fit/finish and probably wouldn't have been much more expensive for him to make.

I loved it until I saw the back. I do like certain things about the car, but I think I dislike more things. For example, the ******* vents behind the front wheels look god awful, especially from the rear shot. And the rear fenders look sick, until you see them from the back. Overall nice looking car, but not if you look at it for too long.

I just wanna add something. That ------ kid that spent $1500 for the fastback on cl.net is a fuckface. His car is the biggest piece of garbage to even try and do something like the fastback conversion. You need an already nice car, before you can make it look better. If I had a hardtop and wanted the fastback look, my bodyshop guy would never think of putting it in the booth for paint until the **** was perfect. Sometimes bodyparts don't come ready to slap on the car and paint, 90% need some work. Its 50/50, 50% that loser kids fault for thinking anything like bike mirrors would look cool, and 50% his bodyshops fault for not doing a perfect job. I bet one day someone will make the fastback look good.

I agree with most, its good until you see it from the back, I like the flares until they return to the body, the stock rear bumper looks like ***, the front fender vents are like a gapped ******* from the back. I love the idea of the fastback, I hope someone does it right, and sells it.

Does it still have a trunk lid? It almost looks like the final piece of the fastback is all that covers it. anyone know?

Edit: Also, wtf is this?
