Ha! Abe forced me to sit through the first 10 minutes or so of that one shortly after we'd spent dinner w/ his woman discussing the various drugs which are commonly used in euthanasing pets, and what a pretty purple color Euthasol® is, in particular.
Sean Connery in a bikini? Big stone heads vomiting guns? Cryptic lectures about evil Penises? Yeah.
Not sure I have a personal favorite, though "Network" definitely holds a special place in my heart: http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/401...59.TPB.torrent

I just finished watching Bound. Thanks for the recommendation. Not the best movie in the world but +1 on the big win stuff...
Zardoz...
I could only get through the first 10 minutes as well. One could say that it was "bad in a good way", but I disagree. It was bad when it came out, and it's bad now. That being said, I've been using Netflix to watch a bunch of old movies. Just saw "Metropolis" the other day, it was pretty good for a non-talkie (not that it would matter to a deaf guy like me).
+1 on Blade Runner. I'm all about the dystopian future flicks, even if they're using rifle actions for pistols.
I also like hardboiled detective ****. Chinatown is near the top of my list.

Now I am going to embarrass myself. I think one of the best movies ever is Avatar. It's the only movie that I have ever gone to in a theater more than once and have watched it since then. The best? no. One of the top five, for sure. I'd have to put the original Alien in there. Again, the effects were great for what it was at the time. The same can be said for Star Wars. I went to it in the theater in 1977 and was in awe. Of course I was 10, but wow. For war movies, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon and Saving Private Ryan.
Blade Runner ftw
Dune
Idiocracy
Children of Men
300
Sin City
George Romero's original "Dead Series"
Equilibrium
All of Wes Anderson's awkward comedies
Vanishing Point and Bullet = required watching for all car doods (maybe Ronin too)
Akira
Ghost in the Shell
Band of Brothers show
