Haha, that last one was pretty bad, but it's alright if you are really bored and don't want to watch anything else.

A better movie that is sorta the same genre to watch in its place would be something like 13th Warrior.

Return of the Killer Tomatoes. George Clooney at his finest. It's all on youtube too.

I "introduced" a friend to the Wilhelm Scream last night (when I heard it in the Family Guy Star Wars spoof last night he didn't understand what I was laughing at). Since there are probably a few of people young and old here who don't know what it is let me open up your eyes:

There are probably better compilations out there but this was the first I found:

A bit of history:

Did anyone say crash, gattaca, open range, the beach, what dreams may come, punch drunk love, the usual suspects, eternal sunshine.

+1 on The Professional (Gary Oldman is a fantastic psycho-cop. EEEVVERRYYYOOOOOOOOOOONNNE!!!), Brazil, Training Day (maybe not obscure enough), Run Lola Run (great movie, great premise, Franka Potente is smoking), Shawshank Redemption, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Seven, Bound, The Usual Suspects (...and on that farm he shot some guys...) and of course Blade Runner.

Requiem for a Dream is very good but hard to watch because the demise of the characters is really disturbing. But then again one of the sexiest actresses of all time is in it, and gets naked.

Speaking of Maggie Gyllenhaal, Secretary is also very good, and still somewhat obscure.

Speaking of Ridley Scott, I am surprised no one mentioned Alien, the original one, not the sequels. Though it may not be obscure enough for the list that movie was way ahead of its time and still carries itself well to this day.

EDIT: and +1 on South Park, my favorite musical.

I've compiled a list of films that have been suggested so far (you can view the list as I've added it to my original post). I've seen a lot of them already but I'll definitely be taking a look at a few of the others in the near future.
