Is this really a thread?
I bet m.net would be useful if you didn't have to wade through all this BS. lol
I was thinking about going teh trollz on it.
I nearly always shift above 3.5k in normal driving, and well over 4.5k during spirited driving. My question is, what should my shift points/driving style be like during cold engine operation? (first few minutes of driving, at least) Should I accelerate briskly right off the bat, or relatively slowly and shift at lower rpms than usual? It seems to me like shifting at 4 grand right after pulling out of my driveway is excessive...

people like that have to be spoon fed basic **** cause they're completely braindead.
they need to be told how to eat, ****, ****, breathe, and live.
they need to be told how much gas to pump into their car, and how high to rev it when its cold, and how to apply brakes.
logic doesn't exist.
To be honest though m.net is just a reflection of the majority of the population in this world. When I worked in the pharmacy we'd have idiots call in and ask us how to put on a condom. Had dumb bitches call in and ask what will happen if they stop taking their birth control meds. Had idiots call ask us how to put on a band aid.
some people need to be told when to inhale and exhale

At least the fukcer admits to shifting above 4.5k. Some of the asshats on there post about not shifting above 3k because they're afraid it's going to hurt the car and get poor gas milage. Stupd *****.

I beat more on the car when it was stock than any other time. Before I'd have to hammer it to make decent power, now when I hammer it the tires kick loose. lol

Heh, I was going to correct my "you" to "your" typo, but decided it was funnier uncorrected.
EDIT:
Would it be over the top if I mentioned the dozens of local drivers that I've helped with cold-start rev problems and how often they thank me for my expertise?
