I think I've read everything by Heinlein and Asimov... was big Anne McCaffrey fan for a long time, read everything by her... the Dragonrider series got me through high school.
Currently loving all of John Ringo's stuff.... Joe, I think you would like Von Neumanns War... lots of electronic nerdery.
