Bros, I need to make my mind up on this van. Make decisions for me
You could just buy a new cummins, just to blow the Head Gasket at 15k and have to be towed from Dallas to Austin by an Excursion.

1 week before the HG blew I hit a 150lb pig at 90mph, and you can barely see the damage from it.
After a little research the "standard presumptive value" is $4200 ($1700 over KBB and NADA). My white shitbox Miata was valued at $3400 ($1300 sale and a fair price) and after bullshit "license plate reflectivity" and other dumb charges it was $475 to register that car. Yeah, I paid a 36% tax rate to register the white Miata.
My van will eventually have a few, unique features:
- The longest extension cord you've seen in your pathetic lives (Serious about this one)
- bar
- kegerator
- massage table
- gun-rack for long-guns (serious about this one)
- ammo box racks (serious about this one)
- possibly a folding bunk on the side (serious about this one)
- fireplace
- rope swing
- water feature
- dixie horn (serious about this one)
- three subwoofers with speakers in the front doors and rear doors so we can jam GnR at the track, because there is simply nothing else you listen to at the track when American Iron is running (serious about this one)

I hit it in such a way that it blew s**t out all over the underside of my truck. It stunk for the rest of the drive to NM from where I hit it just north of Austin.
Every time I got out of the truck I could smell it.
F*****g Hogs.

This past year I made jack for money, because I only work 20 hours a week. So I paid about a grand in state income taxes. I am getting back about $850 of that according to TurboTax. So about $150 in state income taxes.

I have to think FL is even less as there is no presumptive value. If I paid $500 for a $1500 car, I pay sales tax on $500. We also do not have any emissions testing to pay for. No state income tax, of course.
But, you have to live in Florida. So... there's that.

6.25% of the presumptive value - $265
Title change fee - $10
Registration - $60
TOTAL - $335
WTF is the "license plate reflectivity" fee???

Its the only bullshit fee I remember out of the list of bullshit, which was total bullshit.
+1. Nobody understands big-*** brush guards until they use one to bounce an animal off the front of their truck at highway speeds. My truck is still wearing the damage from the cow I hit 2 years ago (no guard).
There's always this:

Go get a Sequoia, or a 1500-series Silverado, or a Tahoe/Suburban, or any number of 1/2-ton trucks/vans/SUVs that will easily tow a Miata without struggling up 0.5% grades while getting 7mpg.

You are an idiot. Stop trying to convince yourself that the only two options are this shitty-*** van and a $70,000 F450. There are a ton of cheap, reliable, half-ton V8 pickups on the market that will EASILY tow a Miata and get better mileage than a shitty old 220hp V8 doing it.

^My 1st car (not that exact one). Excellent power, good handling (for what it is), super comfy seats, reliable. Sold it for $3700 with ~125K on the clock. Get one with a cap and the "club cab" for your guns and shitt. If the bushings are stock they'll need to get replaced, and if it's got the V8 the mpg's will suck ***. If you get a 4.7 V8 ('00+) then they'd be a bit better. I really liked mine and If I ever need another truck it will be on the short list.
