Seems like while you're infusing them it's best to leave the seal intact. EDIT - About your orange slices idea, what about an orange-flavored spirit? Orange extract and rum? You mentioned the newest batch was a bit soggy, would leaving them in the humidor for a day equalize them? Sorry, I know this reads like an inquisition, but you seem very knowledgeabe.
That is an old humidor that I do not use (my current one is pictured below). I figure it will hold maybe 150+ (the pretty one). My current one will probably do 500+. I just completed a web page on cigars/humidors that I have been meaning to work on for the past 5 years (I'll put a link below). You should check it out. No, I do NOT air out my humidor. In fact, I think it is sealed pretty tight. Yes, putting them in the humidor will definitely equalize them. Read my site for info about 70% humidity.

Wow you are the first person that I have ever heard say they dont like Acids. But like you said, to you it tastes unpleasant. I have smoked for years so I really dont have any sence of taste or smell left. Not a big cigar guy but I got to say Acids are a hell of alot better than Old Dutch Masters.

When my mom caught me smoking when I was in high school she made me smoke a whole box of Old Dutches, no matter how many times I threw up, she just gave me another and said inhale.

Thanks again for the info, rmcelwee. I might have to try that out when I get back stateside. Split the R&D (if you can call it that) between the two of us, trying out different methods and whatnot.

BTW, it occurred to me when looking through your site a few days ago (I was looking for the link you posted in here, I must've been blind) that you will mod damn near anything

Did I read this correctly? You do air it out, or did you mean to type that you don't?

You mean like staying up all night customizing a Stratocaster so it matches the metallic orange and black scheme of my MSM? (it is in work in progress stage right now but I should have it done in a few hours - getting a little tired now). FWIW, I used a Geo Metro as a paint booth for the project.

Yeah, typo. I DO NOT air my coolerdor out. It has stayed sealed up for years. I went back and edited the post.

I keep trying to upload a pic of my humi, keep failing. Gah.

Anyway, trying new sticks. Favorites so far are Man-O-War and DE Java Latte. Both smooth and not harsh. Apparently the same guy responsible for the MOW does the 5 Vegas "A" and the Ave Maria, both in humi to try when I get enough time to spare.

Least favorites were actually some of the CAOs I tried (bland) and especially the Ghurka G5 Avenger, that one was nasty. Harsh.

I think I've learned pro-words to avoid in cigar descriptions: knock-around, spice, leather, earth.

Another vote for the Macanudos, very nice taste at a Miata price.

I only do this a couple times a month but good wine, nice cigar, aged cheese, venison summer sausage...makes for a relaxing night. My wife drops 50-100 at the spa, I drop it on this.

Buy Rocky Patel Vintages, either 1990 or the 1999. Both are very good. Definitely worth the $14 pricetag

Tried the 5 Vegas "A", was ok. The Ave Maria was a little better. Man O' War is still my favorite traditional stick.

Liking Drew Estate more, though. Tried an Acid (Blondie Belicosa) but wasn't all that great. The "CI Legends - Copper label" was good though. Got a few Tabacs to try. Also a Perdomo and some others. Just need the weather to get better.
