It is my understanding that they are the same and use the same database.

I was considering purchasing a vehicle on eBay. The eBay provided auto check was clean, 2 wrecks on the car fax. I've never had another one not match, maybe auto check missed the old accidents due to the vehicle being a little older (1998).

Yeah Autocheck seems to be hit or miss.. Showed a clean n clear title for my WRX, but once I walked into the DMV to transfer the title they said it was salvage.

Yeah car has a weird history and the guy seller it is a being a little odd about the history, so I want to make sure it all checks out. it's a 2009 with only 39K but he's apparently the third owner, where someone owned it for only a few before him and put 10Kmiles on it. Where the current owner has only put about that much on it in the last year of owning it.

Otherwise it looks pretty good in pics and I plan to see/but it on saturday if it checks out.

I still think he is the second owner and that he moved. That would explain the excessive mileage, but would be interested to see a carfax on it.

Autocheck put a little flag on my miata because the original owner missed a payment back in 1995... I am the second owner, and I know for a fact nothing was wrong with my car.

dealer prep/detail = swirled to hell paint with free scratches.

bring it to y8s' detailing and get it done legit.
