Just lost my voice
Ok, all of a sudden my voice is almost gone. I can barely talk and when I do I sound like a little boy going through puberty. Actually it's worse since mostly nothing comes out. WTF? Called my dad, tried to talk to him about it and he said it's probably alergies and lack of sleep. FWIW I didn't go to sleep last night, so yeah I'm pretty tired. Still nothing like this has ever happened to me. My throat feels funny. I keep trying to clear my throat but it doesn't help. What the hell could this be?

Well, maybe that's it. Had two exams Tuesday and one Wednesday morning. Slept 8 hours Monday night, none Tuesday night. And yes I've been stressed like all hell over those test. But it's weird because I've not slept and been stressed several times and never lost my voice. **** I've had a headache too and I know it's from lack of sleep. Never knew that could mess with your voice though.

That had me laughing pretty hard.
Sometimes it happens man. Have you stained your voice at all today? I know when I have intense rock out sessions and sing for over an hour my voice starts to get gaspy sometimes. Are you feeling sick? I wouldn't stress it though, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Nope haven't strained my voice at all. Hell I've hardly spoke at all today. I started singing a song I was listening to and quickly realized my voice went to ****. Voice was fine around 5 pm today. Don't feel sick either. I do have a headache from not sleeping though. Guess I'll study a bit more and call it a night.

On the weekends I'm a wedding singer and what I do when I lose my voice is drink decaffeinated tea with honey and try not to talk at all. If you have to talk do so at a whisper. Do not drink coffee, soda or any other type of caffeinated beverage. Also stay away from milk, chocolate, ice cream, etc until your voice comes back.

it could be strap throat...I had it once and it sucked, my GM at the time wouldn't let me go home, I had to stay and sell cars...can you imagine trying to sleazeball someone without a voice, I only sold one car and gtfo went home and stayed home for two days until I got my voice back. That's one of the reasons i hate the car business and got out.

I gargled hot salt water, drank a glass of watter, and went to bed. Lied in bed for 4 hours before I fell asleep. Damn stress from school sucks. Anyway voice is back right now. Hope it stays.
