Because people who just write a check for a car then never drive it don't have the passion to do so.

$13k plus shipping from Hawaii seems rediculous to me.

Yeah it is rediculous but I would love to have a wide body 12 second miata.

It is a wicked build though. Not that I would do much of it personally but the craftmanship of whoever did it is nice. Can't imagine the money spent on shipping all that crap the HI.

Well I'd like to see the dyno sheets and timeslips. Then I'd like to ask why he felt like drag racing his >50 mile old build.

He also does not say what turbo he's running. He may not even know. 280 hp at 16 psi is pretty stout, especially for a 1.6. Tq peak at 1500 rpm?

hmmm... why add all that carbon fiber for weight reduction if you are just going to add it back X3 in stereo/video?

I am talking to him about maybe getting the rims off of him, I will definately have to do some bodywork to get them off of him. He says that he has 50k+ in it.

The wide flares and black/polished lip wheels sort of give it a porsche 911 look. Must also be partly due to the headlights too.
