Interesting car as you crawl around and take it apart. Aluminum everywhere. What isn't aluminum is either plastic or pocketed, gusseted thin gauge steel. Little gussets on the subframes are super thin, thinner gauge than the surrounding subframe. You never see that on other cars. Every fastener under the car has a dished head like a motocross bike. Hollow exhaust hangers. It goes on. Crazy gram strategy.

Seriously proud of Mazda

usually the more you find out about a car the more you see shortcuts and money saving approaches.

I need to get one just based on how cool they are haha

I think they're the best looking miata in a long time for sure. Has anybody here driven one much? How fast are they? Are they going to take mods well? Do they even need mods? I honestly don't know anything about them.

It is nice to see the engineering focus to function and not just cost and atention to detail on a car in this price range!

It might just be the angles, but does that rollbar look really narrow?

4 point harnesses kill it for me. Anytime I read about someone getting 4 point harnesses I cry inside.

Who cares? At that price you can afford to put some entry-level 5pts without even thinking about it.
