D.C. Hotel Advice
Yeah, next time you probably shouldn't bother staying in Dupont Circle. It really is infested with "those type of people".
Unfortunately for you, you'd really be missing out on a lot of great restaurants and some good nightlife. There's a great Ruth's Chris Steak House in Dupont...but there's probably too many of those type of people for you to enjoy your meal.
Personally I love gay guys. If you figure 10% of the guys in a bar are gay, that's 10% less competition.
I've heard RC's is pretty damn good...so can't comment. However, he wasn't too far from Ray's the Steaks, which might've been a neat alternative.
Braineack and I were talking about hitting that place and then getting Ray's Hellburgers afterwards (okay, now I'm lying). You in, y8s, for some goormay beef?
The only places I recommend are in order:
Sweetwater Tavern
Costal Flats
Silverado
Artie's
Carlye
Mike's American Bar & Grill
and Jackson's <--I haven't been here yet.
Basically any Great American Restaurant establishment: Great American Restaurants
But I heard Ray's Hell burger and Ray's the steaks are both badass.

because why bother traveling to eat somewhere you can go to locally? I travel to see stuff I can't see at the local strip mall.
I'd be down for trying Ray's Hell Burger. Apparently they get some interesting clientele:
years ago (like... middle school) our school ran trips to DC every summer. every year they looked for the cheapest place with the best location and always ended up using the Harrington Hotel.
idk anything about this place aside from that it is cheap, and the area is safe enough for a field trip full of 7th graders. well, at least 10 years ago it was.
