That looks sharp. Interested to hear how reaponsive those are by comparison to the c350 or c300s. My dad has a 300 and they messed up in 2010 and it does not get up and go.

My current is a 3.5l v6 with 305/275 hp/tq. I believe the 0-60 is 5.8sec and 1/4 is 14sec.

The c400 is a 3.0l v6 with tt making 330/355 hp/tq. 0-60 4.7 and 1/4 is 13sec. Both awd sport models.

This has same trans but a better brain, and feels like I boosted my c350. Really nice acceleration, better shifting.

I was originally looking at 550i xdrives, but couldn't find one that would work for me over the past month of lookong, so I started to consider other cars. I honestly didn't even know they made the c400 and wasn't considering a c300 beacube I didn't want the i4t. I had always told my wife I just want mine in a sedan. I stumbled on it looking at cls550 4matics.

Has almost all the packages, just no adaptives LED headlights. My current has the adaptive xenons, which level up/down inclines and turn with the wheel...which I actually really like. But youtube the adaptive led, it's really cool.

But, this has the leather pacakge with gray leather and the airmatic suspension. So I think a worthwhile trade off. Still has static led lights at least. Even has park assist so i can let it steer itself into curbs and cars when parking...

I think I'm going to be pretty happy with it. I have to fly down to Charlotte to pick it up, hopefully the end of the week. Coincidentally, I flew to Charlotte to get my current c350.

My 135i has the adaptive headlights like that.

I just use them in the regular "ON" position after reading how much it costs to replace one headlight assembly if they fail.

rofl. apparently with the adaptive LED lights, you can leave high-beams on all the time and it can literally wrap light around the car in front of you.

It is a feature I'm going to miss, but I'd rather compromise on that over the other packages this one had. I actually drove home on saturday through a long winding backroad and they really do help so much around bends.

I did a nationwide search of ones that met my criteria and found like 4 without a solid black interior and those were crummy cars from MA/CT/NY. I was willing to concede the interior if the car was white, but then I never found another quite what I was looking for. And this one has every other package available, so worth it imo.

New daily. 2009 Speed 3. High miles (179k), but single owner, southern car, regular maintenance. PO was a college professor, no mods on the car or any indication it's been flogged.

Needs typical MS3 maintenance stuff (swaybar bushings, motor mounts, probably shocks/struts), but for $3600 I couldn't pass it up.

Nice. My ex's Mazda 6 GT has lights that would turn with the wheel, but not level themselves.

I used it once on the 135i and was like, "Yeah, I guess that's cool and all."

In reality, I just don't drive that much. Including the 800 mile trip to bring it back from Indianapolis, I've only put ~3k miles on the car in 6 months. And even about 450 of that is two trips to Tulsa.

The Cayman S 987 seem like quite a good deal. Don't see to much on horror stories for maintenance, and the PPI inspections get you out of the was it beat on questions, MPG isn't horrific....
Anybody rock one as a daily ?

You want a 987.2 2009+

I was considering one before I got the E82, it seems you'll need to do some work on oil starvation if you'll be regularly tracking on RComps. Otherwise, there weren't any big issues other than just parts prices and labor prices if you're going to let someone else do the work. Even a quality Indy shop will be $$$.

An oil change for my E82 at my Indy is $125, at the dealer it's $160. It cost $275 for my Indy to code the new battery to the car and update the Engine/Transmission/ABS computers, dealership wanted $450. Just as a couple of examples, I'm sure Porsche are even more.

I read it. It says that the car is so smart now that it can determine exactly what the battery needs and tailor the charging to that need. It also says that the system is so f****** dumb it can't determine that you've installed a new battery and determine its different needs on its own.
It's a scam to get the dealers paid.

It's really strange but I seem to recall that there are systems common in many cars on the road that regulate the demand put on the alternator according to the need of the electrical system and Battery. I believe they call it a voltage regulator.

I agree. You asked, just providing some info.

I doubt I'm going to keep the car past the spring of next year. The DCT is amazing when beating on the car, but it's PITA around town. I've nearly got in a couple of accidents because of the way the transmission will hesitate/stall then take off HARD, engage the traction control, cutting power again.

And this is why they only offer the DCT in the M cars now, and everything else is back to a standard torque converter automatic.

Had my first taste of owning a Holden Commodore in the United States.

I just want some windshield wipers. :(
