did you really ask that?
|
did you get four tires for 114?
|
no, just two. they were $114 mounted and balanced after taxes. they charge $20 to mount and balance plus a $6 disposal fee, so they were technically something around $30 each.
|
I ask because I bought used tires for the wife's TSX, with like 99% tread still on them, no cracks or anything else abnormal, for $120 out the door and they did it in less than 20 min..
|
oh okay, gotcha.
yeah these were some of the better I've bought from them. They had another matching pair that were lower tread and cracking. these actually look pretty great. in other news, the miata's a/c is fixed. not only was the condensor leaking, but once we bolted it back together and started filling it, it was leaking out of all the old o-rings and we had to replace pretty much every single one in the engine bay... it held pressure overnight and is now blowing ice freaking cold; just in time for fall. |

God I love this shop. I've used them a few times. Got two tires mounted & balanced and drove off the lot in under 10 minutes. no lie. they pulled my car up at 12:08 and I was on the road at 12:17.
and now i can get this failed sticker removed tomorrow. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1347470918 Car is 70000 times smoother now. lol. not even 6 months later. This is what being a boss in a FWD is all about. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-F...206_133843.jpg keep in mind these are my rear tires. |
Uh... maybe time for an alignment?
Bold move putting slicks on your rear tires. Surely you will beat those ricer civics now! |

the fronts I put on form the same used tire dealer two years ago are still fine. I've been rear ended thrice...I dont believe my car tracks very straight, the wear patterns indicate I have like major toe in or postive camber in the rear. The line on the inside edge is actually part of the tread., the line on the outside is the cords :)
Plus im that good of a driver...I can get the tail out on that thing. We've been a team since 2001 and I learned how to autox in this damn car, and I was beating most people in my class. |
holy shit. this car has been rear ended more than hustler. please explain why this shitbucket isn't sold yet.
actually dont. just sell it |
MAX toe out in FWD will make the rear in rotate pretty well
It will also wear out your tires way faster than camber ever will |
seriously, when i hit bumps, i feel the car lurch in the rear, like it doesn't follow the front of the car straight. So I acutally rock side to side when i go over a speed bump or imperfections in the road.
Doesnt matter, car is getting sold, I was just hoping the last set of tires was the last damn money I needed to put into it. I was also stupid and I've been driving it a lot lately instead of the miata, which would have prevented this. But as soon as I purchase the replacement this is going on the market. I've been looking, just tying to get a good deal on a WRX. |
Personally i think you should bend up the other tires too so they all travel in the same direction. You'll definitely get looks when all tires are crooked one way and the car travels sideways a few degrees.
