Default Dead animal in my garage

This past weekend I went out to my garage to work on the Miata for the first time in a month or so. I opened the door and the smell of death came rushing out. Now I've had dead mice stink up the garage before but this smell was much stronger. I let the garage air out some before heading back in to try and find the source. After many quick trips in and out I could not find anything except a pile of maggots on the floor. I went and grabbed my painting mask so I could spend some more time in there. I climbing to the top shelf of the garage and tangled up in an old hammock was a large dead raccoon.

Now I've removed the raccoon and everything that was around him but the garage still smells. There is a nice stain on the wall and shelves were he use to be. Does anyone know what I could use to clean this up and get rid of the smell? Maybe a bottle of bleach?

The cause of the smell is the bacteria, depending on the material of the shelf, I would use a lysol or bleach cleaner and soak that bitch. If this is a "My miata smells like..." thread? I think so far the coyote wins haha.

Cinnamon air freshner. It destroys super foul odors.

The other night I pulled a frisky opossum out from under the stairs in my house.

Where the **** have you been! I got like 10 of them after me for the past month now! You can have all of them

Bleach is best for dead animal stink. Then add more bleach.
