I don't know if I've asked this in here already but has anyone dropped the rear diff on their Subaru / how annoying was it? Mine is leaking and I've been putting it off for almost a year lol

If by annoying you mean time consuming, than yes. That's about it.

he couldn't handle the boost

in fact, I specifically offered a Blouch Dominator 1.5XTR turbo and ID1000 injectors to him, but he was skurrd
It was all on the same shelf. Just in case he changed his mind

Any of you guys have a 02-03 WRX, or know someone with an 02-03 WRX that might be interested in a Process West intercooler shroud splitter thing?

This one: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/par...scoop-splitter

I've got one of these that I bought from a fella that had it listed as fitting my 2004, but lo and behold, its for an 02-03. The thing is brand spanking new and the only marks on it are ones from me test fitting it (and discovering it wouldn't work) on my 04. Its a really solid piece and would be a very nice addition to a PW or probably some other aftermarket TMIC on a bugeye.

$100 shipped or make me an offer. I'll probably throw it on Craigslist or NASIOC ( ) if there are no takers.

Done, thanks! Pics are gianormous so if they don't come through I can email them to you. I'm happy to drop this thing off if you have a local who is interested.

Just saw this ...he's not even joking. I don't need any other ways to destroy the poor 5MT in my WRX so I opted out. I'm sure the VF48 that followed me home will be MORE than enough for my poor little EJ20.

OK- how hard is it to pull my 2002 WRX motor and DIY headgaskets and timing belts?

Or should I just wait until summer, park the car at Denver international airport for a month and collect on hail damage then sell for scrap?

Pulling the engine is easier than on a Miata. I personally had a shitty time disassembling the block though. It becomes extremely tedious.

As long as the dowel pins arent rust welded into the tranny its pretty easy.

Agreed: removing is easy assuming it's not rusted together or frozen, but taking one apart is a pain and if you've never done it before you're gonna have a real bad time.

Kinda sounds like the car is a pile, in which case I probably wouldn't put too much work into it.

OK- I heard they were easy to remove, but yeah I'm a Subaru noob and the car is a bit of a pile. Really hoping for a hail damage check this summer haha.

Installed recently purchased LEDs. Shipping through USPS was quick and cheap.

I went with Diode Dynamics. From the quality of of the bulbs alone, I will always buy LEDs from these guys.

https://www.diodedynamics.com/by-veh...ion-fr-s-74876 - Scion FR-S LEDs

Received this dome light, was instantly blinded. Would install again

These come in HP3 or HP5 (5 is brighter). I installed HP3s for the license plate, and HP5 for reverse lights and trunk light. I also picked up an amber HP3 set for the front side markers. I am waiting for my JDM OEM clear side markers to arrive before I get in there. It will look real nice with the pearl white

Picked up the HP11 model as pictured. They had cheaper and more expensive options. Waiting for the side markers to get here so I'm not opening up the fender twice.

And as a bonus, I picked up the 'Always-On' kit. It keeps the DRL factory LEDs on when the low beams come on at night. Sucks they're on back order, but I'll wait.

I put similar bulbs in the license plate of my truck. Now, about a year later, they flash, giving a kind of strobe effect off the plate.

Not sure if it's just cheap ebay knockoffs or what, but I have not had good luck with automotive LEDs.

I'd give diode a try if you have some cash to burn

They offer a 3-year warranty and build theirs in house as far as I know.

Nobody interested? I'll probably post it up on CL this weekend and see if I can't get anyone to offer me drugs/sexual favors/jet ski + cash for it.
