So i'm guessing a leggo wagon? What year? If you are seriously considering something like that, you should look into a WRX ecu swap. I'm not talking about the entire WRX harness either. I looked into it briefly for my forester when i was considering a 2.2turbo on it (before i found the current 2.5 in it), and it seemed fairly straight forward.

Drove a car on v12 evo2's. They sucked and corded pretty quickly on the rears. I'm assuming the dz102 are going to be just as good as the dz101's aka, so terrible that its surprising that dunlop hasnt been sued for gross negligence over them. |

I read about the dz101's and their total lack of wet traction. The reviews of the 102's even mentioned that. I guess I need to look elsewhere.

I went with the BFG Gforce sports as my summer daily, I have them on the miata too. But I've never tried the Conti DW's....but the DWS is my all season of choice.
|
I'm pretty impressed with the DWS on mine...

In that price range, consider the Federal 595RSR from all accounts its a damn good tire, just dont expect it to last more than 15-20k. Or if you can afford them (not that they're really expensive) the Conti DW are pretty much the best daily driver summer tire you can buy still.

Looking at tire rack right now. The conti's above, are they the extreme contact DW's or is there another version?

Only slightly more expensive than the hankook and Dunlop but awesome ratings. 4th place in its category in customer ratings. I cant believe how many 5/5's they received. Thanks, I think I found my new tires.

You are now going to dominate everyone in the rain, except for people with AD08Rs and PSS's.

Tires and wheels inbound. I am now looking at getting a tire changer and balancer. Anyone using one of the Asian made units (atlas, bendpak etc)?
|
Wheels/tires installed. Man I really like the conti DW's. They are quiet and soft enough for the daily commute. Thanks again for the suggestion.

I got t-boned by a red light running Scion TC in my '07 FSXT today. Driver's rear wheel has hella-caliber camber now. FML.

Minor body damage, but I can see the trailing arm is bent, the strut is crooked, and the tire is rubbing on the spring. I searched far and wide to find this car new and I've never seen one exactly like it in person. 121k miles almost entirely with me at the wheel. I really hope it's not totalled.
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1400886875 Dude got cited for running the light. No insurance on his part. At least no one was hurt, he stayed, readily apologized and admitted fault. |
That could have been FAR worse. I'm glad you made it out OK and best of luck with getting her fixed up.
|
Thanks, man. Yes, it could have been worse. I had my 2 year old in the car. I'm a little shaken up now that I've had some time to think about it.
I was the second car to pass through the intersection on green and was rather surprised to see a black Scion Tc coming at me. I tried to get out of his way, but no luck. |

aww man that's a huge bummer.
if you rebuild/fix, its only logical to do some with all STi parts though :) like I did :D https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1400891354 |
It should be fixable pretty easy. Whether or not the INS company see's it that was is another story. At worst you'll end up getting a really big check and a huge hit to your resale with it being on a salvage title.
