I've been meaning to drift the crown victim but all the ones here require your helmet to be less than 5 years from manufacture, have to have a fire extinguisher mounted in a metal bracket, and the vic needs an e-brake (purchased, aliexpress yo). One of the ones near here is like super secret or they just suck at webdesign because you have to click through a security redirect warning to get to their website to see the ******* schedule.

It's like figure skating, only louder.

The only thing they care about in central / southern California is if you have a battery tie down. Everything else is pretty much fair game. Once you get to the bigger tracks, they ask you to make sure your car isn't leaking fluids. I'm pretty sure a bicycle helmet would be acceptable to some events

One hopes that the surgeons were able to save the passenger's right arm.

when you build suspension into your bumper covers, you're no longer in a sport.

when your race car needs an e-brake in order to compete, you're no longer in a sport.

when you modify your tie-rods so you can turn your wheels perpendicular, you're no longer in a sport.

when whether you win or lose is determined by a panel of judges who subjectively measure your angle, you're no longer in a sport.

when you go head-to-head, but just have to mimic your competition in front of you, you're no longer in a sport.

when tire changing is discouraged because it can slow the continuity of the "show", you're no longer in a sport.
